I Lied--P90X Update

So just briefly, I have to share---after the Kenpo X last night AND the two mile run, I woke up this morning and almost fell over. You know what I'm talking about? It's that calf tightness that I'm talking about, and while with most work-outs I've had it loosens up over the course of the day, this tightness has lasted ALL day. I think I'm also getting used to waking up and feeling a bit of a pinch in my abs/core---P90X sure does work 'em abs.

Today was to be rest day and I contemplated taking the day entirely off, but the other option is to do X Stretch for 50 minutes. Stretching for 50 minutes actually felt amazing and never boring, but I must tell you that there's a little bit of strength work in there too.  And I had a buddy for P90X today: Anna was adamant that she needed to participate in some stretches too!

.....and then since I was a bit looser, I couldn't help myself and I went ahead and did the Cardio X also. Here's what you need to know: Cardio X wasn't overly difficult the first time, but I definitely felt it much more this time because right now I'm feeling every-single-one-of-my-muscles.

I also need a moment to admit that I'm starting to find it hilarious when hub or I open the door out to the garage to peek on each other---his face is always wearing the "is-there-any-relief-coming-up" expression and I can only imagine that my face looks the same. ;) But I have to tell you---I'm pretty sure this 90 days is  going to be kicking our bodies back into shape!

I'm missing documenting my eating also cause it's making me accountable. Feel free to overlook all these diet & workout posts should you so desire!

So without further ado:

I'm loving the updates and the meal rundown too! It keeps you accountable and makes me want to be better myself (and makes me crave a microbrew...). Hope to be joining you soon! ;)

Ha--well I'm glad you're enjoying them! It gets to quiet out in blog commentary land that I'm never sure. ;) What did you decide about the program? And have I mentioned that Portland is microbrew capitol of the US....maybe you and Grace need to come for a long weekend visit yourselves! ;)
