Good Eats

Good eats, people, good eats. Lots of delish stuff showing up on Pinterest everyday and now one of our new housemates is an amazing cook! Tonight he offered his hand at preparing a meal and let me tell you---ah-ma-zing. Brussel sprouts like none other (sweet & sour from using red pepper flakes & maple syrup), rosemary baked red potatoes, gravy from scratch, and pot roast for the gents. Seriously amazing! I wanted to eat the entire bowl of brussel sprouts!!

Last night I prepped the following for brunch this morning:
Recipe shared via pinterest: Overnight Peaches and Cream French Toast

Hub went back for thirds and the guys reported they all liked it. It was a little too egg-y for me in the center of the french toast, but definitely okay for most. Loved the peaches with it however! If I make it again, I'd probably do one less egg and a bit less milk.....and honestly maybe a different type of bread also.

I've been meaning to share the following Kale & Avocado Salad, also found via pinterest:
I've only made it once for breakfast on a morning when I wanted something completely different. I made it with more cucumber and avocado---also delicious! I was reminded of it this evening when my gal Heather texted me to say her hub and her gave it a try and they love it also, plus hub saw the picture on pinterest last week and thought it looked like something I need to make for HIM!

Wanted to also share another take on the meal I'd shared previously with the pre-made raviolis from Costco. Another take that hub prepares is this:
Spinach & cheese ravioli covered in pesto and feta, over sweet potato puree. YUM!

We're hoping to split up cooking duties within the house, so now that I'll have to be cooking maybe you'll see more food posts :)

Any good recipes you've seen or tried lately?!
